Leonards school master’s hobby was navigation. This was in Mousehole. He taught Leonard who went to sea and ended up working for the Lancs Navigation Steam company. He eventually married the Commodore’s (Archibald McNeillage) daughter Catherine McNeillage. Surprise, Surprise Leonard became the Commodore! Catherine McNeillage was born in Campbeltown Nov’ 1826.
