bullet  General Notes:

Mary Ann Humphrys another elder sister of Guy married Col Huskisson. I believe he is of the family of William Huskisson, Minister for Trade in the Liverpool government. William was the first man to be killed by a train; in fact Stephenson’s Rocket! This was during the inauguration of the first train to run between Liverpool and Manchester. He was with the Duke of Wellington who tried to save him. They were celebrating at the halfway stage near Warrington when this happened. There is still a huge monument at the spot, now derelict. There are still the Huskisson Docks in Liverpool as well as Huskisson Street.
